7TH WORLD TANTRIX CHAMPIONSHIP - PHASES 2/3 - 'EXPECTED' SCORES

As last year, the tables on this page list the matches in each round in order of seeding point ("SP") differences.

The tables also show the 'expected' TP score in each match based on the unadjusted Elo ratings (if any) of the two players.

This table may not be updated after every match finishes, probably just once every couple of days.

The order of the matches in the table below:

The match with the lowest SP difference is at the top of each table and the match with the highest SP difference is at the bottom. Hence,

matches near the top are potentially very close and matches near the bottom are potentially very one-sided. I have ordered the matches by

SP difference rather than Elo difference so that matches involving players who do not yet have Elo ratings can be included in a sensible way.

Have fun with the figures, but beware - they can be very misleading if you don't understand what they do and do NOT mean!

To find out what EXPECTED TPs, the bigger font, * scores and the scores in red mean, please see the notes below the lists.

N.B. Even where a player only has a provisional Elo rating, that rating (before any seeding deductions) is fed into the Expected TPs formula.

Hence if it is the player on the right who has a provisional Elo, the estimated result may be closer than in other matches with a smaller SPdiff

(or may even show the player on the right as the winner) but those estimates will be less reliable than when both players have established Elos.

SPs based on (and hence equal to) established Elos are shown in bold type, as are and estimated scores based on two established Elos.

Actual scores and A-E values are BEFORE any tiebreak games, but names in bold type denote winners AFTER any tiebreak games.
