2004 World Tantrix Championship
Country by country performance in Phase 1
Of the countries with more than 5 players in Phase 1, FRA fared best with 9 of their 15 players
qualifying, closely followed by HUN with 9 out of 14.
GBR lost the most players in Phase 1, with only 6 out of 15 qualifying - in contrast to the Euro,
where their players tend to start slow and then move into the qualifying slots right at the end,
here many GBR players lost ground at the end. NZL had an even more disappointing Phase 1.
GER was probably the best of the other countries, with 3 out of 4 players qualifying. However,
FIN, POR and UKR all had a 100% record, in each case 1 out of 1.
Sadly, SVK lost both of their entrants and ARG, PNG, RSA, SIN, SVK, TPE & TUR all lost their
sole entrants, so 18 of the original 25 countries will have players in Phase 2.
The table below is sorted by number of players surviving to Phase 2 and then by total entrants.
