Dec 10 Moddin
The 1st Israeli Table Tantrix Championship is now over
It is won by Yoseph Philips ITM (yoseph) who took the lead from the first round and maintained it all the way through. Galina Ryvchin (galca) took silver closely followed by the surprise bronze medalist, 13 years old Ido Shor (choob) who missed the 2nd place by only 0.5 TPs.
Ido holds also the junior title, with his cousin Omer Chor (omeron) in 2nd place and his identical twin Roy Shor (loost) in 3rd.
Congratulation to all the medalists - and keep going next year!
By the way, Omer and I are seriously thinking of going to another open tournament in 2008 (we like French or Polish most) - and we'll try to bring more players with us, so I think the Europe should get prepared for Israeli kids conquering more tantrix hights! (don't count on me, though)
Congratulations to Benny Chor (the head of Shor/Chor family) and Zafrir Kazula for taking 4th and 5th place. Well done guys!
Many thanks to Omer - the founder of Israeli championships - and our tantrix distributors Tali and Zafrir Kazula for making this dream of many Israeli tantrix players coming true.
Our Passover greeting says 'next year in Jerusalem'.
I'll say: see you all and overseas visitors (shame that you didn't come!) next Hanukkah, in Moddin.
