There are plenty of other activities in this part of the South Island including kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, caving and climbing (in most cases we can probably lend you the appropriate equipment). So don't hesitate to arrive a few days early.
Friday, 21 March
Registration, briefing, a BYO BBQ, and a player auction at Tantrix HQ from 6pm onwards.
Saturday, 22 March
The first round of NZ Open Tournament will begin at 8.30 am.
Sunday, 23 March
Day 2 of the tournament will begin at 9am. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 5pm.
Entry Fee
There is an entry fee of $30. This fee covers a light breakfast and lunch both days of the tournament and a T-shirt.

Accommodation
Traditionally we offer all players at least a bed on the floor. With the increased numbers this year, it may be a bit more of a squeeze, but one way or another we should have a mattress for everyone. However if you would prefer to arrange something a bit more upmarket there are plenty of nearby options.

Mahana Escape B&B is an enjoyable 15 minute walk on the same road as Tantrix HQ.

Corru Gate is nestled in the trees just down the hill about a 15 minute walk away.
|
|
Mapua Holiday Chalets are a three minute drive or a 20 minute uphill walk.
|
|
Komako is self catering accommodation a five minute drive from Tantrix HQ.

Airport Pickup
The Nelson airport is 25 minute drive. It will be not problem to arrange pick ups for players. Just email us your flight details in due course.
If you are driving yourself, the address is 600 Old Coach Road, Mahana, Nelson. Directions: Take SH 60 from Richmond towards Motueka, turn left onto Seaton Valley Road just before the Mapua turnoff, then right onto Old Coach Road.
