The Pan-American Tantrix Championship, played online, is open to all Tantrix players living in or coming from North, South or Central America, including Guadeloupe. The defending champion was James Preen (CAN) but he did not survive the first group phase this year and the Final Group reverted to being an all-US affair.
The new Pan-American Champion is Roger Campbell from Colorado in only his second Pan-Am. The runner-up was California's Brad Swanlund, making it four years in a row in the top three, the first two of them having been as champion. 3rd place went to Michael Baer of Georgia in his very first Pan-Am, ending California's 5-year stranglehold on that particular slot.
