7TH PAN-AMERICAN TANTRIX CHAMPIONSHIP (2005)
TOURNAMENT HOME PAGE
Apr - May 2005
Champion
brad (USA)
Brad Swanlund
Congratulations to no. 1 seed Brad Swanlund (US-ca), who won the 2005 Pan-American Tantrix Championship to become only the second player ever to win the same Championship three times. Brad has finished in the top three for five years in a row, winning the PanAm in 2001 and 2002 before being knocked down to 3rd in 2003 and working his way up through 2nd last year to the top spot again this time around.

In the Final, Brad beat the real surprise package of this year's competition, unseeded Gilles Brazzalotto (GDL), Guadeloupe's first ever top three finisher in any tournament. No. 7 seed Irene Dyer (US-ca) made it five 3rd places in seven years for the Dyers (Irene last finished 3rd in the first ever PanAm in 1999 before husband Dave finished third for three years in a row) when she won the playoff for 3rd place against reigning champion and no. 2 seed Roger Campbell (US-co), who also did a fine job of controlling the PanAm this year.

The 2005 Pan-American Tantrix Championship, played online, was open to all Tantrix players living in or coming from North, South or Central America and entrants came from the countries and US states whose flags are shown below.
