Dates and Format
Who can enter: All players from all around the world from beginners to Masters.
Teams: This is a team competition. Each team will have 5 players. Preferably teams will be made with 5 players from the same country. If this is not possible (because there are not more players from any country, or not enough to make another team from a given country) those players will be put in a "Rest of the World" team (ROW). ROW teams are made by the OC following different criteria: ELO ranking, geographic proximity, etc. No one should be left out of the competition.
Entries Close: 3rd February.
Draw: End of January
1st Phase/Group Phase: From January to mid March.
The format for Phase 1 will be a group phase. The number of groups will depend on the number of teams that enter the competition. During this phase players must play 3 games against each opponent.
K.O. Phase and Finals: From late March to May.
It will start with L8 or L4 depending of the number of entrants. During the K.O. players will need to play 6 games (+ tiebreaks if needed) against their opponent.
