The Top Three

Top seed Tom McCoy (ENG) (centre of photo) won the British Open Tantrix Championship at the first ever official timed table Tantrix Championship. It was played as part of the second provincial Mind Sports Olympiad event in Cambridge on Saturday 4 May 2002. Kevin Scott (ENG) finished 2nd and World Junior Champion Simon Wright (NIR) was 3rd. The tournament attracted 14 high quality entrants and was mentioned on TV, local radio and in the Cambridge press. It was notable for a very high level of sportsmanship even in the most important games.
