I'd like to inform everyone that First Polish Open is planned for August 4-5 in Krosno. The details will be provided soon.
Should you have any questions now - please contact me.
I would also appreciate emails or private messages from those of you who think they could seriously consider coming. That would help me to estimate, at least provisionally, the turnout. |

the nearest airports: Krakow (2.5h by bus), Rzeszow (1h by bus) - we can help with organising transport from those two cities
accomodation, meals (including group dinner(s), and venue of the tournament - all under one roof in a small cosy hotel which is already (provisionally) booked for us, and the reservations need to be confirmed by the end of June.
Price:
We have managed to negociate the price and the (again, provisional) overall cost per day, including bed, breakfast, coffe/tea/snacks during the day as well as dinner amounts to 22 euro
The entrance fee (to cover the prizes and all the other expenses) hasn't been calculated yet (still working on the sponsors ...), but should be provided shortly
Please
contact me as soon as possible if you're considering taking part in our tournament. |

Congratulations to the top 3, though gratulátok might be more appropriate! Gratulátok also to the rest of the top 6, and congrats to Rick.
Looking forward to seeing the pictures and the full results. I am sure it has been a wonderful event - I know that Teresa didn't get much sleep but I'm sure that was worth it. I hope to be there next year! |

When you're playing, you're probably too busy concentrating to notice it being quiet, though I'm sure people do notice when it starts to get noisier as people start finishing their games.
I always find it very relaxing at the start of a round at the BOTTC when all you can hear are the tiles clicking on the tables and the clocks being pressed. |
