Britta Steude of New Zealand won the May Open Tantrix Tournament with 204 tournament points out of 320, just 3 points ahead of Mike McManaway, also of New Zealand. These two players were locked in battle early on and Mike seemed to have secured victory when he won both of their games, but Mike then lost both games against Jason, setting up an exciting finish. Britta also became the first player to achieve a 20 TPs to 0 victory in a tournament game.

Peter Petrecz of Hungary came 3rd, also beating Britta twice, in a month where he showed a huge improvement, just edging out Steven Trezise of the UK and Jason of Australia, who themselves were separated by only 1 point for 4th and 5th places, decided by the very last game.

These five were always ahead of the other four players, though some good wins by the latter had quite an effect on the final results. Only 4 points covered 6th to 8th, Laszlo Harsanyi of Hungary moving up to 6th right at the end, with Dave Dyer (USA) 7th.

If you have problems viewing or printing the results sheets, go to the Hints section. Reviewing games works slightly better in Netscape. It's best to let the whole applet load when you load the results page (until it says Done at the bottom left of your screen) and then to switch between games using the Review links on the results page, rather than Select Game in the review game room.

Hints

It's hard to design these sheets for every screen size and every Browser configuration. If rules and scoresheet pages do not view properly or a scoresheet does not print on a single sheet, try reducing your Browser font size - it's easily reversible:

a) Internet Explorer - click the Fonts button - try Smallest or Smaller.

b) Netscape - click View on the menu bar, then Decrease Font once or twice.

Overall, Internet Explorer works slightly better than Netscape for these pages.
